Art Collection

The museum stewards works of art that are historically and contemporarily significant to the Northwest and the State of Washington, particularly to eastern Washington and the Inland Northwest.
The museum’s art collection comprises over 3,000 items, showcasing works by Northwest artists from the 19th to the 21st century. This collection highlights mid-20th-century works on paper, especially those related to the WPA and the Spokane Art Center, as well as contemporary works by American Indian artists. Other notable works in the collection include installations by Joe Feddersen and Edward and Nancy Kienholz.
